Instructors

Director: Erin Reid was born in Detroit, Michigan and has lived in Dallas since 1986. She began Irish dancing in 1991. She competed and placed in the 1997 US Southern Regional Championships. This qualified her for the World Championships in Ennis, County Clare, Ireland, in which she competed in 1998.
Erin performed with Dancing on Common Ground for their 1999-2000 season on a 50-city US and Canadian tour.

She opened Hibernia School of Irish Dance in 2000. In September 2001, she obtained her teaching certification (TCRG) from the Irish Dancing Commission (An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha) in Dublin, Ireland. Ms. Reid has been also screened and cleared for the “Safe Environment Program” by the Catholic Diocese of Dallas.

In her early years, Erin trained and competed as a gymnast and was a cheerleader from 7th-11th grades. She studied 6 years of jazz at Anita's School of Dance and 5 years of classical ballet with the Chamberlain School of Ballet. In more recent years, Erin has been guest choreographer for the Lone Star Ballet, guest instructor in the TCU dance department, as well as the founding artistic director for Iverin Inc. and the Hibernia Irish Dance Company.
